Innovative Eyewear is rolling out the Lucyd Claude AI integration across all its smart glasses models next week, giving wearers voice access to Anthropic’s Claude assistant through the Lucyd app. Shares in the Nasdaq-listed company (LUCY) rose 7% shortly after the US open on Friday.
The update brings ChatGPT and Claude into a single interface. Users can switch between the two models mid-conversation without losing context, according to the company’s press release.
Lucyd Claude AI Integration: How It Works
In the initial version, a user opens the Lucyd app, selects a preferred Claude model, and converses using the audio interface built into the glasses. Access is free at no additional cost to existing customers.
Innovative Eyewear manufactures smart glasses under the Lucyd, Lucyd Armor, Reebok, Eddie Bauer, and Nautica brands. The company says it was the first to make ChatGPT available through smart eyewear and holds a pending patent on multi-AI access glasses.
A second phase of the Lucyd Claude AI integration, expected in late Q3 2026, will allow hands-free queries with the user’s phone locked and pocketed, building on the existing ChatGPT functionality.
Chief executive Harrison Gross said: ‘This is an important step forward in our mission to make the most flexible and powerful AI glasses on the market. We have a pending patent on multi-AI access glasses, and we are bringing this incredible functionality to all our customers at no additional cost.’
Sales Growth and Retail Expansion
The AI launch follows a period of strong commercial momentum. Preliminary, unaudited Q2 2026 net sales were approximately $0.99 million, with first-half 2026 net sales of approximately $1.77 million, both up around 71% year-over-year. The results remain subject to the company’s quarter-end close and auditor review.
The Q2 figure marks the twelfth consecutive quarter of growth. Growth was led by the Lucyd Armor smart safety eyewear line across direct-to-consumer, marketplace, and wholesale channels.
For context, Q2 2025 net revenue was $579,230, itself an 88% increase on Q2 2024, driven by the Lucyd Armor safety glasses and the Reebok range. The Q2 2026 figure represents growth on top of that already elevated base.
On the retail side, the company has completed a 345-store rollout with Canada’s FYihealth group. A 50-store trial with an unnamed major US retailer is scheduled for September.
The company is also anticipating the launch of the Lucyd Aero smart eyewear collection in October 2026.
Warrant Exercise Raises $3.0 Million
Alongside the AI announcement, Innovative Eyewear disclosed the exercise of warrants generating $3.0 million in gross proceeds, before placement agent fees and other offering expenses, according to its warrant exercise press release.
The exercise covered 2,200,544 warrants at a reduced price of $1.35 per share, down from an original exercise price of $2.60 per share, according to StockTitan’s report on the transaction.
In connection with the exercise, the company will issue new short-term warrants for up to 6,601,632 shares at an exercise price of $1.10 per share. If fully exercised, those warrants could generate approximately $7.25 million in additional gross proceeds.
