Automotive connection systems supplier Strip Tinning (LON: STG) has secured a DRIVE35 grant of £3m from Innovate UK and the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK, sending its shares up 62.2% to 36.5p. The Strip Tinning DRIVE35 grant will fund scale-up of its manufacturing and development of cell contacting system technology beyond 2027.
Security technology provider Thruvision (LON: THRU) disclosed that a partner in Asia has won a contract worth more than £3m, covering airport worker screening and insider-threat mitigation across several south-east Asian airports. Its shares rebounded 36% to 0.85p.
Strip Tinning DRIVE35 Grant: What the Funding Covers
The DRIVE35 programme is funded by the Department for Business and Trade and delivered in partnership with the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK and Innovate UK. Collaborate-stream grants must be between £2.5m and £20m and require a minimum of 50% match-funding from the recipient, with projects expected to reach defined technology and manufacturing readiness levels within 18 to 36 months.
For Strip Tinning, the award backs its cell contacting system work, a component in electric vehicle battery assemblies. The Strip Tinning DRIVE35 grant extends the company’s funded runway past 2027.
Thruvision’s Largest Asian Deployment
The Thruvision contract, confirmed in a regulatory filing on the London Stock Exchange at 07:00 on 9 August 2026, represents the company’s largest single deployment in Asia to date, according to the Thruvision RNS via Investegate. Equipment delivery is expected within the six months to March 2027.
Chief executive Victoria Balchin leads the company, according to Insidermedia. Separately, the Lang family reduced its stake in Thruvision from 9% to below 3%, according to UK Investor Magazine.

Jubilee Metals Group (LON: JLP) said it has received two binding offers for its Large Waste project in Zambia, both above the original acquisition price. An initial deposit is due on 27 August 2026, with the company expected to select a purchaser and sign definitive agreements shortly, according to an Investor Meet Company RNS dated 10 August 2026. A final deferred payment of $5m to the original seller will be settled in shares. Combined with previously announced disposals, the transactions should generate nearly $100m in cash to redeploy into core Zambian mining operations, including the Molefe mine. The shares gained 10% to 2.75p.
Angus Energy (LON: ANGS) reported debt repayments of £5.24m since 24 June 2026 following a financial restructuring, reflecting cash generation from the Saltfleetby gas field. The share price rose 8.11% to 0.2p.
Among the fallers, ECR Minerals (LON: ECR) raised £636,000 at 0.175p per share to fund investment in processing equipment at the Maddens gold project in Queensland, where it holds a 50% interest. The shares fell 12.5% to 0.175p.
Cadence Mining (LON: KDNC) said refurbishment at the Azteca plant, part of the Amapa iron ore project in Brazil, is ahead of schedule and should be operational by end of August. A commercial operating licence remains outstanding. Zeus carries a fair value estimate of 14.6p per share. The shares slid 7.77% to 4.75p.
ImmuPharma (LON: IMM) selected Germany-based Kymos as bioanalytical contract research organisation partner for its Kapiglucagon programme, covering non-clinical and phase 1 trials for the glucagon prodrug being developed for Type 1 diabetes. The shares dipped 6.06% to 3.7575p.
Fuel cell technology developer H-Power (LON: HPOW) completed the first phase of a joint development agreement with Komatsu to design and integrate ammonia cracking technology for a Komatsu diesel engine. A second phase, running to end of 2027, will involve construction and demonstration of the cracker with that engine. The whole contract is worth $2m. Canaccord Genuity has been appointed as joint broker. The shares fell 5.14% to 10.43p.
The next catalyst for the wider AIM board is Jubilee Metals’ selection of a preferred buyer and execution of definitive sale agreements, with the initial deposit deadline falling on 27 August 2026.
