Routes names new head of business development, Asia

UBM EMEA said it has appointed Sanjay Jayanth as head of business development, Asia for Routes & ASM, leading a team to cultivate the growing Asian market for the two sister businesses.

Jayanth has held positions in network development; operations; marketing strategy; revenue management; competitive analysis; cargo and product development for KLM, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and most recently GMR Group. He has held key positions for GMR including Airline Marketing and Route Development for Delhi International Airport as well as positions at GMR Male International Airport in the Maldives and GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation in the Philippines.

Jayanth will lead the Routes and ASM team in Beijing, Singapore and Hyderabad, and will be based in Bangalore, India.

Routes organises world-renowned airline and airport networking events through its regional and global Route Development Forums. Each year, there is one global event and one regional event in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and CIS respectively.
