

Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc., a BBA Aviation company and the aerospace industry´s provider of ´Extended Life Solutions´ for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy products, has acquired an ESU product line from Curtiss-Wright, the company said.
The ESU (Ethernet Switch Unit) functions as a router and a switch, making local forwarding decisions to devices operated in the M109 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzer (PIM) and Bradley Fighting Vehicle´s LAN (local area network).
The product line will be transitioned via Ontic´s proven adoption process into Ontic´s Chatsworth, California facility. Ontic will provide the customers with complete support including production and aftermarket manufacturing and MRO services.
