The British Broadcasting Corporation has publicly announced the ensemble cast for ‘Smoggie Queens’, a comedy series deeply rooted in Middlesbrough’s distinct cultural identity. This production celebrates both the town’s spirited community and its small yet vibrant LGBTQ+ segment, promising to encapsulate regional pride within a comedic framework.
The series, whose filming has recently concluded, assembles a talented group of actors including the acclaimed Michelle Visage, famed for her role on ‘Drag Race’. Joining her is Charlotte Riley, widely recognised for her performances in ‘Peaky Blinders’.
