JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ:JBLU) today reported operating income of USD 296m in the fourth quarter and USD 1.3bn for the full year, a decline of 10.4% from the fourth quarter of 2015 and a full year increase of 7.9% over 2015.
Pre-tax income was USD 274m in the fourth quarter and USD 1.2bn for 2016, a decrease of 9.6% from the fourth quarter of 2015 and a full year increase of 10.8% over 2015.
Fourth quarter net income was USD 172m, or USD 0.50 per diluted share. For the full year 2016, net income was USD 759m or USD 2.22 per diluted share. This compares to JetBlue´s fourth quarter 2015 net income of USD 190m, or USD 0.56 per diluted share and 2015 net income of USD 677m or USD 1.98 per diluted share.
JetBlue carries more than 38 million customers a year to 100 cities in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America with an average of 925 daily flights.
