NewLeaf Travel Company has named Ben Baldanza as board chair, the company said.
Baldanza served as CEO and president of Spirit Airlines from 2005 until January 2016. He was a senior vice-president at USAirways from 1999 until 2005. He previously held positions at TACA Airlines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and American Airlines.
NewLeaf is a privately held Canadian low-cost travel company headquartered at the James Armstrong Richardson Interational Airport in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Its partner Flair Airlines, owns and operates Boeing 737-400 planes.
