Florida-based gas turbine engine component repair firm Chromalloy said it has acquired aerospace and energy component supplier Trac Group.
Trac Group provides design, engineering and manufacturing of high and low pressure complex turbine components including blades, segments and vanes for the engine hot section.
As a supplier on new commercial aircraft engines and power generation systems, Trac Group produces components for Rolls-Royce, Snecma, Alstom, Siemens, and other manufacturers.
The company employs about 400 and has headquarters in Crewe, U.K., with production facilities in the UK and Mexico.
Chromalloy said that Trac will retain its brand name and be referred to as “A Chromalloy company.”
The two firms are privately held and the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Chromalloy is a supplier of castings, advanced repairs, coatings and a catalog of other aftermarket services for turbine airfoils and other critical engine components.
The company serves engine manufacturers and operators in commercial aerospace, defense, and the energy industry.
Chromalloy facilities include operations, annexes and sales offices in 17 countries.
