The London Stock Exchange listed Cake Box Holdings AGM falls on Wednesday 2 September at 10am, with shareholders meeting to approve accounts showing the franchise chain’s sharpest annual revenue growth in recent years.
The AIM-quoted group, which trades under the ticker CBOX, reported group revenue of £59.69m for the 52-week period ended 29 March 2026, according to Cake Box Holdings’ investor relations. That represents a 39.5% increase year-on-year, with underlying EBITDA rising 41.6% to £12.36m.
What the Cake Box Holdings AGM Will Ratify
The accounts filed for shareholder approval cover a year in which gross profit reached £34.28m and underlying profit before tax came in at £8.67m. Underlying basic earnings per share were 15.97p.
The board has recommended a final dividend of 7.20p per share. That would extend the group’s unbroken run of dividend increases to eight consecutive years, according to Investing.com UK. Management targets 1.5x dividend cover and aims to reduce debt by £2m annually, with net leverage standing at 1.03x as of 1 July 2026.
Cash at bank was £2.45m at the period end. The full suite of FY2025/26 documents, including the annual report and notice of AGM, is available through the Cake Box Holdings financial reports page.
Egg-Free Edge and a £3.2bn Market
Cake Box launched from a single store concept in 2008, listed on AIM in 2018, and has since grown to more than 300 franchise locations across the UK and France. The group operates two segments: Cake Box and Ambala, selling fresh cream celebration cakes, confectionery, breads, and specialty and ethnic bakery products alongside party accessories.
All Cake Box products are egg free, a positioning the company says widens its addressable customer base to include those with dietary or religious restrictions. The UK fresh cream celebration cake retail market is projected to reach £3.2bn by 2027, according to the Cake Box investor hub.
First-half momentum supported the full-year outturn. Total franchise store sales rose 14.6% in H1, with like-for-like sales up 6.3% against the same period in the prior year, the group disclosed in its half-year results filing on the London Stock Exchange.
Ownership and Valuation Context
The shares have traded between 170p and 220p over the past 52 weeks, giving the group a market capitalisation of approximately £86m. At current levels the stock trades on a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of around 15.1x, with a dividend yield of approximately 6.2%, according to Investing.com UK.
Institutional investors hold around 64% of the company, with insiders accounting for a further 25%, according to a Simply Wall St. analysis via Yahoo Finance. CEO Sukh Chamdal is the largest individual shareholder. Total shareholder return over the three years to that report’s publication was 66%, outpacing the share price return alone due to dividend reinvestment, a separate Simply Wall St. analysis via Yahoo Finance reported.
The group’s latest accounts were filed at Companies House on 10 September 2026, with interim accounts covering the period to 26 July 2026 filed on 4 September 2026.
With the 52-week high of 220p sitting at the top of the recent trading range, the AGM on 2 September is the next near-term catalyst for any reassessment of the stock’s valuation.
