Interop Technologiesâ„¢, a global provider of advanced communication networks and cloud-based managed services, has been selected by EcoMobileâ„¢, a nationwide Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), to deploy its virtualized Rich Communications Services (RCS) solution to their subscribers, the company said.
This early adoption will make EcoMobile the first MVNO in the US to launch UP 1.0 RCS.
The cloud-based and fully managed services model provided by Interop assists operators with lowering the barriers to entry for RCS and other in-demand IP services by reducing the up-front cost and complexity required to build and manage an IMS core network and IP services infrastructure. As a complete end-to-end rich messaging solution, Interop´s RCS incorporates the most recent features and functionality outlined in GSMA´s Universal Profile standards and supports interoperability with RCS-enabled operators, devices and third-party applications.
EcoMobile will also deploy Interop´s Over-the-Top (OTT) MVNO solution, which includes telco-grade mobile voice and legacy messaging services over WiFi and LTE/4G data networks. Seamless voice call handoffs between WiFi and LTE/4G networks are included to ensure maximum coverage and quality service experience.
