Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announces that it has appointed Piers Davison as a Managing Director and Co-Head of its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A team for EMEA. In this role, he will work alongside Pablo Alonso, who joined A&M in February 2024.
Based in London, Mr. Davison will also be Head of FIG M&A in the UK. He brings over 27 years of experience of advising banks, insurers, asset/wealth managers, fintech firms, and market infrastructure companies spanning the UK, Europe, the US, and Latin America. Prior to joining A&M, he worked at J.P. Morgan and Citi, most recently as Co-Head EMEA Financial Institutions Group at Citi.
Since the hiring of Pablo Alonso in February 2024, A&M’s FIG M&A team has grown substantially, with a number of senior hires, including:
- Emmanuel Cresseveur who joined A&M as a Managing Director from Credit Suisse and will be responsible for the FIG M&A France & Benelux practice
- Quentin Mulet Marquis, who brings 12 years of investment banking experience, joins from Barclays as a Managing Director in Dubai to cover Middle East, Turkey & Africa (META).
- Henri Angelo will join as a Managing Director from Citi to cover Insurance M&A in EMEA and has 15 years’ experience
- Jeremie Benhaim also joins from Barclays as a Senior Director in Dubai
These senior hires, together with others in the pipeline will bring the A&M FIG M&A EMEA Team to c.30 fully dedicated professionals by 1Q 2025 with the ability to operate throughout the EMEA region. This team will also leverage on the existing capabilities within the A&M Financial Services team in EMEA with 300+ professionals, in order to deliver a market unique end to end differentiated M&A / Advisory proposition to its clients.
