Isuzu Truck UK, in collaboration with Allports Group, has successfully inaugurated a second sales dealership located at Fradley Park. This development follows the completion of an extensive £5 million investment aimed at broadening and enhancing the existing facilities at Isuzu’s flagship site in Lichfield. The project comes as a strategic move to cement Isuzu’s market position and enhance service delivery.
The comprehensive expansion has doubled the Fradley Park location to a sprawling 10 acres, now featuring a modern sales, rental, and contract hire centre. Additionally, the site boasts a substantial 6,500 square foot workshop equipped with a dedicated Approved Testing Facility (ATF) lane and six maintenance bays. This setup offers a full spectrum of inspection, repair, and breakdown services catering to the diverse range of Isuzu trucks.
According to Mark Sanders, Allports Group Managing Director, the project was driven by a commitment to upgrade the customer experience across all facets of the business. The establishment of a new dedicated sales team for Isuzu is just one of the measures implemented to meet this goal. Sanders noted, “The company’s 3.5 and 7.5-tonners are firm favourites with our customers – it’s no coincidence that the 7.5-tonne range has become the UK’s market leader.”
Allports Group has been serving as a comprehensive sales, parts, and service dealership for Isuzu Truck from its Stoke-on-Trent outlet since November 2020. The Fradley Park site, prior to this expansion, had been designated with authorised parts and service status for just over a year. This strategic location expansion provides Isuzu with an advantageous opportunity to further its reach within the West Midlands and beyond.
Tim Hicks, head of operations and product at Isuzu Truck UK, commended the efforts of the Allports Group team, emphasising their pivotal role in supporting customers from both Staffordshire locations. Hicks expressed enthusiasm for the potential growth, stating, “The recent investment and expansion of Fradley Park made it the ideal choice to fill the gap for sales coverage in the area and we are excited to see how they take things to the next level.”
The new dealership at Fradley Park underscores Isuzu Truck UK’s commitment to growth and customer service excellence.
