Jane Nelson has been appointed as the chief operating officer (COO) of the Cardo Group, a prominent building maintenance contractor. Nelson’s professional journey is notable, having commenced her career as a trainee painter and decorator, eventually earning a Master of Science in construction refurbishment management from University College London.
With over seven years of hands-on experience, Nelson advanced to the position of managing director at Kier Group. During her tenure at Kier, she successfully led joint ventures with the London Borough of Islington and Harlow District Council, showcasing her adeptness in managing large-scale collaborative projects. Her subsequent role as executive director at Mears further solidified her standing as an experienced leader in the sector.
Nelson’s role in co-founding Cardo Group alongside CEO Liam Bevan in May 2023 has been pivotal.
