Royal Caribbean International has rolled out a competition that promises travel agents in the UK and Ireland a chance to attend the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden. This initiative is part of a new partnership with the Eurovision Song Contest and aims to incentivise bookings through the ‘Book Your Way to Eurovision’ campaign.
To partake in this opportunity, agents are required to book a 2024 or 2025 cruise, with the chance to win one of the 34 available spaces for a two-night trip, which includes flights and VIP hospitality at one of four Eurovision events. The competition will run until the 29th of February, inviting agents to engage through Royal Caribbean’s Club Royal learning and rewards platform.
Agents will need to utilise the platform’s leaderboard system, where they can select an avatar and earn points through cruise bookings. Those who accumulate the most points by the end of the competition will win the top prize. Additionally, four wildcard entries will be randomly drawn from participants who have made at least one booking, ensuring even more agents have the chance to win.
Moreover, Royal Caribbean is extending its engagement with agents by organising Eurovision-themed parties across seven regions outside Sweden. These events are designed to reward the agency that secures the highest number of bookings in 2024-2025, offering a Eurovision night out complete with a £500/€500 budget, hosted by their sales development manager.
Nicki Lewis, Senior Sales Enablement Manager, emphasised the inclusive nature of the competition, noting the shared excitement among agents and the company. “We know our agents are just as excited as us on this new partnership and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by giving them a chance to be included in this amazing opportunity,” she stated.
This initiative not only strengthens trade ties but also offers travel agents a unique chance to engage with a global cultural event.
