Aircraft leasing company Avolon has announced the delivery of the world´s first Airbus A330neo to TAP Airlines, the company said.
The delivery took place during a ceremony at Airbus´ facility in Toulouse where Avolon, Airbus, TAP and Rolls-Royce, the aircraft engine manufacturer, were present.
This A330neo is Avolon´s second aircraft on lease to TAP.
Airbus A330neo is the latest version of the twin aisle A330 Family and can accommodate 287 seats in a typical three-class layout or up to 440 for high-density configurations.
Avolon provides aircraft leasing and lease management services. Avolon is 70% owned by an indirect subsidiary of Bohai Leasing Co. Ltd., a Chinese public company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SLE: 000415), and 30% owned by ORIX Aviation Systems, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation.
