Jay Walker, the inventor/entrepreneur of Priceline´s has introduced his new company Upside to the USD300 billion US business travel industry, the founder said.
Upside, expected to launch in mid-September 2016, is a mobile and web solution that business travelers can use to get benefits for themselves and reduce travel costs for their companies.
The company relies on business travelers being flexible enough to take a different flight or stay in a different hotel in exchange for earning gift cards that can be used at a store or e-commerce site of their choice.
Upside said it is a great choice for business travelers who work for small and mid-sized companies that lack the travel advantages of the larger Fortune 500 companies with extensive travel rules and private discounts are not yet a good fit for Upside.
