Miracle Flights said it provided 698 medical flights last month–a new record for October.
The nation´s leading health and welfare flight organization enables children with rare and life-threatening medical conditions to gain access to specialized, out-of-state medical care through commercial flights.
The near 700 flights are a substantial increase from last October´s total of 557.
“We couldn´t be happier with October´s outcome,” said Miracle Flights´ CEO Mark E. Brown. “We don´t just look at these numbers as flights, but as lives saved. We´re always pushing to help as many families as possible, and October did not disappoint. We encourage anyone that needs assistance to give us a call.”
Miracle Flights is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free medical air transportation via commercial airlines throughout the United States. Now in its 30th year of operation, Miracle Flights has coordinated more than 96,000 flights and counting.
