Miracle Flights for Kids logs 495 flights in September

Miracle Flights for Kids said it finished September with 495 life-saving flights.

The nation´s leading health and welfare flight organization enables children with rare and life-threatening medical conditions to gain access to specialized, out-of-state medical care through commercial flights.

“We´re thrilled to have helped so many families this past month,” said Miracle Flights Founder and National President, Ann McGee. “We know we´ve made a difference in so many lives, but we still have miles to go. We won´t rest until every child has access to the care they need.”

Miracle Flights has also been selected as one of 12 finalists in the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation´s Pilots Choice Awards Grant program. Aviation-related charities are chosen to compete in an online poll, with the winner receiving a USD10,000 grant. To help more children get to the specialized, out-of-state medical care they need, vote for Miracle Flights´ kids.

Miracle Flights for Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free medical air transportation via commercial airlines throughout the United States. Now in its 30th year of operation, Miracle Flights has coordinated more than 92,000 flights and counting.
