InteleTravel has experienced a remarkable 28% increase in turnover for the first quarter of 2024. This significant growth is primarily attributed to a surge in cruise bookings, which now represent 13.9% of the total sales. This represents an increase of 5.3 percentage points when compared to the same period last year, underscoring the growing interest and demand in the cruise sector.
With the top 50 agents at InteleTravel generating over £2.5 million in bookings, the average sales per agent reach an impressive £50,000. A notable example is Col Ord of Travel Less Ordinary, who managed to book 320 cruises in just his first year as an advisor. This highlights the potential for high sales volumes within the company’s framework.
The agency’s model is appealing to new entrants by offering a low-cost joining fee and the flexibility to operate independently, setting their own targets. This approach, coupled with a reinforced onboarding and training programme, provides agents with a structured path to their initial sales, enhancing their capability and confidence in selling travel packages.
InteleTravel’s success is further amplified by its Partner Marketing Engagement Programme, which has divided partners into three tiers, with the top tier seeing revenue boosts of 35.4% year-on-year. This achievement is largely due to a series of strategic initiatives including webinars, podcasts, and various other digital and in-person engagements which bolster partner visibility and agent participation.
Tricia Handley-Hughes, the Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, emphasised the outstanding performance and growth within the cruise business sector, commending the partner programme as a ‘game-changer’. Such structured and pre-planned approaches have ensured that InteleTravel can capitalise on peak times and maintain a consistent growth trajectory.
InteleTravel continues to harness its innovative strategies to achieve substantial growth and success in the travel industry.
