Hong Kong Airlines has hosted the 13th Triumph Sky High junior program to enhance aviation knowledge and cultural To enhance aviation knowledge and cultural exchange between students from Hong Kong and Mainland China, the company said.
A group of students from Hoi Pa Street Government Primary School and Shenzhen Arcadia Grammar School boarded an aircraft and visited airport facilities, learning about airline operation under the guidance of Hong Kong Airlines crew members.
Triumph Sky High junior programme provides students from different schools and backgrounds an in-flight operation experience to increase their interest in aviation.
The aviation experience tour included a visit to Hong Kong Airlines´ catering service centre and check-in counters at the Hong Kong International Airport. Students were brought behind the scenes to learn how meals are prepared and the daily operation of ground services. The students were then taken onboard a Hong Kong Airlines A330 aircraft. Some students dressed as captain spent time in the cockpit with the pilots. Some students performed inflight duties with flight attendants, making passenger announcements and serving an inflight meal.
