China´s Hainan Airlines has reported it plans to link Melbourne with Xi´an with non-stop flight service two days each week, beginning in November, the company said.
The company said the service will use an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, also used on the airline´s new Sydney-Xi´an and Sydney-Changsha routes that begin in mid-September.
The news comes as Hainan Airlines and Virgin Australia move to forge a new strategic partnership on flights between Australia and China, subject to ACCC approval.
