Azamara Cruises has relaunched the Azamara World Academy, a comprehensive online training initiative developed for travel agents. Scheduled just before Clia’s Cruise Week, the programme aims to adequately prepare agents to effectively sell the brand’s cruise offerings. The move is seen as forward-thinking and necessary in equipping agents with the pertinent knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles within the travel industry.
At the core of this programme is the dual focus on education and reward, a strategy that resonates with many in the agent community. By intertwining learning with tangible benefits, Azamara Cruises seeks to motivate agents, encouraging them to deepen their understanding of the cruise line’s products and services. In the words of Stuart Pearce, the head of trade sales at Azamara, “This dedicated training programme offers valuable knowledge to our travel agents while also rewarding their dedication to learning more about our product and services.”
Upon completing the course, agents are bestowed the title of ‘Azamara Cruises Experts’, a certification that comes with its own set of perks. These include privileged access to special rates for personal holidays, as well as invitations to exclusive seminars and onboard ship visits. Such opportunities provide agents not just with enhanced knowledge but also with firsthand experiences that are invaluable when booking customers on Azamara cruises.
In a calculated move to further incentivise participation, Azamara Cruises has introduced an enticing booking incentive throughout September. This incentive doubles the usual reward offerings, providing agents with £20 per booking, hence encouraging them to increase their booking volumes and grow their client base. This enhancement is poised to bolster agent engagement and amplify sales efforts leading up to Clia’s Cruise Week scheduled from September 16th to 22nd.
The revitalised Azamara World Academy represents a strategic effort by Azamara Cruises to empower agents with knowledge and incentives, enhancing their capacity to promote the brand effectively.
