NASA has announced the arrival of the Artemis I Orion spacecraft upon its landing on NASA´s Super Guppy aircraft at Ohio´s Mansfield Lahm Airport, the agency said.
The spacecraft came to Ohio for environmental testing at NASA´s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky in preparation for the Artemis I mission.
Engineers at NASA´s Kennedy Space Center in Florida have been assembling, testing and integrating the crew module and the European-built service module, which arrived in the US last year. Artemis I is an uncrewed test flight around the Moon, the first in a series of progressively more complex missions that will land the first woman and next man on the lunar surface by 2024.
