Cohort (LON: CHRT), the AIM-listed defence and technology group, will publish its final results for the year ended 30 April 2026 on 15 July, with the Cohort plc Annual Report Summary showing a record order book of nearly £620 million that provides revenue visibility stretching to 2037.
The group reported revenue of £306.4 million and adjusted operating profit up 32% to £36.3 million for the year, both ahead of expectations, against adjusted operating profit of £27.5 million in the prior year.
Cohort record order book signals strong forward cover
Order intake for the year reached £314.2 million, exceeding revenue for the period and driving the near-£620 million closing order book, according to the Quartr H2 2026 earnings summary. The group’s own pre-results communication noted that around 80% of current-year sales were already covered entering the new financial year.
The results date carries a minor qualification: the London Stock Exchange company page for CHRT shows an RNS date of 14 July 2026, while the company’s own notice of results and the Investor Meet Company RNS both state 15 July. The company’s own filing is treated as the definitive date.
Communications division drives margin expansion
The Communications and Intelligence division was the standout performer. Revenue rose 27% to £158.9 million for the year ended 30 April 2026, with adjusted operating profit climbing more than 50% to £32.4 million and a divisional margin of 20.4%, per the Quartr earnings summary.
Chief executive Andrew Thomis and finance director Simon Walther are scheduled to present the full results to investors. An investor webinar, confirmed by Investing.com, is set to begin at 3pm and will cover the group’s corporate strategy alongside the financial detail.
Cohort was founded in 2006 and listed on AIM the same year with a market capitalisation of £27 million. The group has since expanded through acquisition into a seven-division technology business serving defence and government customers across the UK and internationally. Its market capitalisation now stands at £629.48 million, according to the London Stock Exchange.
The shares have risen 54% in 2026, trading at 1,396p ahead of the results. Target price upgrades from brokers are widely anticipated following the announcement.
Cohort also announced a cash dividend of 12.1 pence per share, with an ex-dividend date of 20 July 2026, according to data published by Yahoo Finance.
With the Cohort record order book now covering revenue well into the next decade and divisional margins expanding, the results presentation on 15 July will be watched for guidance on capital allocation and whether the group intends to add further subsidiaries to its existing seven.
