Delivery Solutions (Delsol), a key player in logistics, has expanded its footprint with the inauguration of a 21,000 sq. ft. facility at Deeside Industrial Park, Flintshire. This strategic move addresses the increasing demand for parcel delivery across North Wales and Northwest England.
The new site marks a significant milestone for Delsol, as it allows the company to separate its parcels and pallet operations, enhancing efficiency and service capabilities. The expansion follows a notable 19% rise in overnight parcel volumes, reflective of the growing e-commerce sector in the region.
Delsol has adopted a forward-thinking approach by investing in sustainability. Equipped with solar panels, the Deeside depot is powered by renewable energy, and the introduction of electric forklifts demonstrates a commitment to reducing carbon emissions. Plans are also underway to incorporate electric vehicles into its fleet, reinforcing Delsol’s green initiatives.
To support its expanding operations, Delsol has appointed Damian Conde as the new operations manager for the Deeside site. With over a decade of experience in logistics, Conde is poised to lead the team towards continued growth and enhance Delsol’s reputation as a reliable partner for small and medium-sized enterprises in the area.
