Matthew Marriott has assumed the role of chief executive at Socotec UK, officially taking the reins on 9th September 2024. This transition marks a change in leadership as Nicolas Detchepare, the previous chief executive, moves to a strategic role heading Socotec US. During Detchepare’s tenure, Socotec UK experienced substantial growth, with annual revenues scaling from £125 million to £200 million. This remarkable financial trajectory was accompanied by a workforce expansion, with the company now employing over 2,000 individuals, driven predominantly by the bolstering of building control, real estate, and environmental sectors.
Marriott joins Socotec UK from his previous position at Premier Technical Services Group, where he spent two years as the managing director of its fire solutions business. His career portfolio extends across notable management roles at major corporations such as Otis Elevator, Stanley Black & Decker, and Honeywell, equipping him with a robust leadership background and industry acumen.
