David Worsley, after a distinguished six-year career with Torsion Developments, has been promoted to the position of chief operating officer at Torsion Group. During this period, he served three years as managing director, contributing to the establishment and growth of Torsion as a front-runner in the construction and development industry. Worsley’s experience and expertise have been central to making headway in developing thousands of student accommodation beds and residential apartments, underscoring his substantial impact.
Over the past years, Worsley has been credited with generating more than £710 million in capital, encompassing both institutional and private equity. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the Group’s financial strategy, demonstrating his adeptness at leveraging financial opportunities for organisational growth.

With Worsley’s promotion, Ed Wootton has been appointed as managing director of Torsion Developments, while also maintaining his role as managing director of Torsion Construction. Wootton joined Torsion Construction last year, and his prior experience as a director at Galliford Try adds notable strength to the company’s leadership team.
