The construction of a major new industrial unit at Magna Park in Lutterworth is currently in progress, with completion expected by June 2025. Spearheaded by Winvic Construction, this 761,000 sq ft development is being brought forward by developer GLP and constitutes their largest speculative unit to date. The structure, named MPN 761, will include a vast 716,662 sq ft warehouse, an 8,202 sq ft undercroft warehouse, and a 1,615 sq ft plant deck. Additionally, there will be 34,667 sq ft of space dedicated to a three-storey office block and two transport offices.
Winvic Construction’s involvement with MPN 761 represents a significant achievement, notably marking the firm’s construction of 100 million square feet of industrial space. Danny Nelson, Winvic’s MD of industrial, distribution, and logistics, highlighted the importance of the project, expressing excitement about the new contractor-client relationship with GLP. He stated, “MPN 761 has become a special project for three reasons; it marks Winvic’s construction of 100 million square foot of industrial space, it’s GLP’s largest ever speculative unit and it has brought the start of a new and exciting contractor-client relationship.”
Peter Baird, the senior construction manager at GLP, has echoed the optimism surrounding this development.
