In an effort to stimulate interest and bookings, Norwegian Cruise Line has rolled out a new bonus commission scheme targeting travel agents in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This initiative promises a bonus of up to £100 for every NCL Europe cruise booked within the month of August 2023.
One of the key highlights of the scheme is its inclusion of Norwegian Viva—the latest vessel in the cruise line’s ‘prima’ class. Norwegian Viva is set to embark on its inaugural season, offering journeys to notable destinations such as the Greek Isles and the broader Mediterranean region.
Gary Anslow, Norwegian Cruise Line’s senior head of sales for UK and Ireland, describes the bonus commission as a “rewarding earning opportunity for agents.” He points out that with nine ships operating from 13 ports across Europe and a sailing season stretching to November, the variety and scope available cater to a wide range of clientele.
Anslow further remarks on the strategic timing of the commission scheme, describing August as a “great opportunity for agents to showcase the range and value of our summer and autumn 2023 itineraries.” The cruise line is also running complementary promotions, such as a 35% discount and up to £250 air credit, aiming to enhance the appeal of its ‘Free at Sea’ package, which includes benefits like specialty dining and premium beverages.
Highlighting some of the standout itineraries, a featured 12-day European cruise aboard Norwegian Gem promises visits to vibrant cities including Bilbao, Amsterdam, and Bordeaux. Another compelling option is the 14-day cruise aboard Norwegian Star, which explores the natural beauty of Northern Europe, offering opportunities to marvel at scenic landscapes, observe local wildlife, and dive into the region’s rich history.
This bonus commission programme signifies a strategic move by Norwegian Cruise Line to bolster agent engagement and promote European itineraries.
