Liverpool City Council is undertaking a major procurement effort with the launch of its £850M Highways Planned Works Framework, which is set to commence in January 2025. This strategic framework aims to serve multiple local authorities, including St Helens Borough Council, Knowsley Council, and others within the Liverpool City Region.
In alignment with their vision for sustainable travel, the council emphasizes the development of green bus routes and traffic-free green travel corridors. Additionally, they aim to enhance electric vehicle infrastructure by expanding charging points across the city.
