Back In Time For Bed (BITFB) has appointed a group of seasoned travel professionals to its newly established ‘board of parents’. This strategic move is designed to support the growth and development of the BITFB platform, which has rapidly gained traction since its inception in February 2023. The board includes Julie Berry from Berry Consulting, Jemma Bridges from Club Med, Michael Young-Richards from Celebrity Cruises, and Lucy Paterson from Do Something Different. Each member is expected to leverage their extensive industry knowledge and personal parenting experience to benefit the organisation.
Julie Berry, bringing over two decades of expertise from her tenure at Thomas Cook, provides a wealth of insights and a maternal perspective as a mother of three daughters, including twins who recently turned 18. Jemma Bridges, who has dedicated 20 years to the travel industry as a key account manager for Club Med, shares her experiences as a mother of two young children. Her insights will be invaluable in addressing the challenges faced by working parents in the travel sector.
Michael Young-Richards, a strategic account manager at Celebrity Cruises with more than 25 years in the industry, enriches the board with his vast experience and understanding as a father nearing the milestone of having a teenage son. Lucy Paterson, serving as a retail partnerships manager at Do Something Different, has over 23 years of industry service and is a mother of three. Her passion for supporting other travel-sector parents underscores the ethos of BITFB.
The board’s primary responsibility is to collaborate with BITFB founders Vicky Billing of Riviera Travel and Anna Perrott of Panache Cruises. They aim to extend the community reach and enhance supportive measures for parents within the travel industry. Billing shared that the initiative has received overwhelming positive responses and emphasised the necessity of this platform to accommodate the growing community. Perrott noted the exciting phase BITFB is entering, further illustrating the initiative’s importance in fostering a unified travel family.
The involvement of these experienced professionals signifies a promising advancement for BITFB as it seeks to broaden its supportive network.
