Oceania Cruises has announced a significant enhancement to its service offerings by launching the ‘Your World Included’ amenities package, effective from October 1, 2024. This programme is poised to replace the ‘Simply More’ initiative introduced last year, aimed at embedding a host of premium services directly into the cruise fare. Passengers booking from October will enjoy not only included gratuities but also unlimited Starlink Wi-Fi, access to all gourmet specialty restaurants, in-room dining, non-alcoholic beverage options, group fitness classes, and laundry services, all seamlessly integrated into the ticket price.
This inclusive approach is designed to make the pricing structure more straightforward for potential cruisers. As Nikki Upshaw, the senior vice-president for global sales at Oceania Cruises, conveyed, this move is the culmination of extensive feedback from guests, agents, and staff. The integration of these elements into the upfront cost simplifies the sales process while enhancing Oceania’s positioning within the ultra-premium market. Upshaw articulated that these bundled services now reflect a tangible financial benefit of approximately $1,800 per stateroom based on a standard 10-day cruise itinerary.
Onboard connectivity is also set to advance with the entire fleet being equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi technology by November 2024, ensuring constant access to high-speed internet throughout the voyage. This enhancement, coupled with the all-inclusive non-alcoholic beverages package that features a variety of soft drinks, juices, and specialty teas and coffees, positions Oceania as a frontrunner in delivering substantial customer value.
The strategic initiative has been crafted to appeal to both seasoned travellers and newcomers to cruising, with a simplified agent sales process posited to attract a broader audience. Crucially, existing travel agent bookings remain unchanged, although clients are afforded the flexibility to switch to the new programme without incurring penalties. This adaptability extends to any excursion, beverage, air, or land packages, which remain customizable to suit individual client preferences.
Upshaw emphasized that price stability will be maintained globally, notwithstanding regional fluctuations for specific cruises, with adjustments typically reviewed on a quarterly basis. The decision to keep prices steady from October 1 reflects a calculated approach to building long-term customer trust and satisfaction in the competitive cruise industry landscape.
Oceania Cruises’ redefined amenities package is set to elevate its ultra-premium status while offering significant value to its passengers.
