In an initiative to reward excellence in cruise sales, Hays Travel has selected 15 of its top-performing homeworking cruise sellers for an exclusive seven-night river cruise on the Danube, courtesy of AmaWaterways. This recognition, under the ‘Captain’s Table’ programme, celebrates the commitment and success of these agents over the past year.
The chosen cruise sellers were treated to a luxurious experience on the Ama Viola, where they enjoyed a range of complimentary daily excursions. These included engaging walking and cycling tours, thrilling theatre trips, and vibrant music festivals, offering a rich and varied cultural experience to the participants.
According to Tanya Cooper, head of the Personal Travel Consultant division at Hays Travel, the ‘Captain’s Table’ trip is a coveted reward, with positions fiercely contested up to the final month as agents compete to maximise their sales. Remarkably, some agents achieved sales exceeding £1 million, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication.
Hays Travel’s commitment to this initiative is further strengthened by its partnership with AmaWaterways, a brand renowned for its exceptional river cruising offerings. The participants benefited from AmaWaterways’ promise of luxurious service, locally sourced food and wine, beautiful staterooms, and the highest quality ships.
Simon Morgan, one of the participating agents, shared his awe at the experience, calling the journey “nothing short of spectacular” and noting how it significantly transformed his perception of river cruising. The event also served as an opportunity for networking, allowing agents to exchange success stories and innovative strategies with their peers.
The trip, sponsored by AmaWaterways, not only underscored the value Hays Travel places on its high-performing agents but also provided them with a first-hand experience of river cruising—a luxury that many had not previously encountered. This initiative reflects a forward-thinking approach to incentivising sales success and fostering professional development within the travel sector.
The initiative highlights Hays Travel’s dedication to rewarding excellence and fostering professional growth among its agents.
