Apollo Tyres is set to benefit significantly from this partnership, with expectations to cut its European transport costs by a substantial €1.8 million per year while simultaneously increasing operational productivity by 25%. This development follows a successful trial within Apollo Tyres’ European operations in 2024, showcasing real-world benefits.
The Zeus Command AI is an enterprise software crafted for comprehensive freight management. It addresses key logistics functions such as slot management, freight rate negotiation, and live route tracking. Moreover, it integrates with the Zeus Driver app to provide detailed oversight of individual vehicles or entire fleets, offering a holistic view of transport operations.
Apollo Tyres’s decision to partner with Zeus was driven notably by the potential to digitise its logistics framework in Europe. The real-time visibility and management capabilities of Zeus Command AI integrate seamlessly with existing systems like ERP, TMS, and WMS, facilitating a smooth digital transition.
Clemente Theotokis, co-founder and joint managing director of Zeus, articulated, “We’ve proven the critical importance of digitising logistics operations by bringing Apollo Tyres considerable savings and operational efficiencies.” This sentiment highlights Zeus’s confidence in their system’s capability to deliver tangible results in complex logistics ecosystems.
The collaboration also brings environmental advantages through Zeus Connect, a scalable transport solution giving Apollo Tyres access to 15,000 vehicles across Europe, including sustainable freight options. Hizmy Hassen, Apollo Tyres chief digital and supply chain officer, praised Zeus for developing a tool that optimises sales-to-logistics collaboration across their pan-European network.
Zeus is not new to the logistics landscape. Supporting over 60 major enterprise clients like P&G, Whirlpool, and Decathlon, Zeus moves approximately 250,000 tonnes of cargo annually across Europe. Janko Stojanovic, Zeus’s chief product officer, emphasized the enhancements made, stating that Zeus Command AI optimises workflows and strengthens customer and provider relationships, offering valuable insights into critical metrics.
The exclusive licence of Zeus’s freight solution to Wincanton in the UK and Ireland marks a successful trajectory for the company, anticipating significant growth of 100% and 170% in its Connect and Command products by the year’s end. This partnership with Apollo Tyres marks another significant milestone in Zeus’s strategy to expand its footprint across Europe.
The partnership between Zeus and Apollo Tyres exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to modern logistics management, poised for significant impact.
