Windstar Cruises has taken a substantial step towards modernising its booking process through a partnership with Revelex, a leading booking engine platform, in an effort to enhance global cruise bookings for travel agents. By integrating with Revelex’s Power Agent 5, Windstar aims to streamline the booking process, providing travel advisors access to a global cruise API. This advancement grants them increased control over multiple aspects of bookings, from acquiring web and private fares to implementing mark-ups and managing post-booking modifications.
Revelex sales senior vice-president Joe Romans highlighted the adaptability of the system, stating that the tool is designed to give travel advisors the autonomy to customise cruise options according to their needs, ensuring a more efficient booking process. “We’re thrilled to add Windstar’s cruise products to our system and ensure an additional, easy pathway for booking,” Romans added, emphasising the ease this integration introduces to travel advisors worldwide.
Janet Bava, Windstar’s chief commercial officer, further elaborated on the strategic benefits of this collaboration, underscoring the company’s commitment to the travel trade industry. She noted that this integration significantly enhances Windstar’s ability to expand its global footprint, helping to make more travel partners aware of their offerings, which include destinations such as the Mediterranean, Tahiti, and the Caribbean.
Windstar’s fleet, known for its luxury and exclusive experiences, consists of six boutique all-suite and sailing yachts. Each vessel accommodates between 148 to 342 guests, promising personalised service and a diverse array of itineraries that promote the allure of their chosen destinations.
This integration with Revelex not only simplifies the booking process for travel agents but also strengthens Windstar’s global presence and distribution capabilities.
