As the Wave Awards gears up for its 10th anniversary, this year’s event promises to be a remarkable celebration of excellence within the cruise industry. Returning to The Dorchester on 11 November, the awards have now opened entries for a wide array of categories, aimed at recognising the contributions and achievements of various stakeholders in the cruise sector.
A total of 31 award categories are available, alongside two special awards. The event is set to introduce four new categories, broadening the scope for recognition and honouring diverse achievements. The newly introduced categories include Best For Accessibility, which acknowledges cruise lines that facilitate travel for all, with innovative designs for accessible cabins and excursions.
In addition to accessibility, the awards feature the Best Consortia category, celebrating organisations that empower and support independent agents with the latest tools and insights for increasing cruise sales. The category Best Homeworking Network recognises entities that bolster remote-working agents, highlighting the growing trend towards flexible employment in the industry.
Another pivotal category is the Best Trade Sales Team, open to both agencies and cruise lines, aimed at applauding efforts in providing outstanding support via marketing materials and training. Recognition through this award underscores the pivotal role of sales teams in the cruise industry’s dynamic landscape.
Participants have until 31 May to submit their entries, with an Early Bird Discount available for those registering by 29 April, encouraging a diverse range of entries from across the industry.
