VIVA Cruises has revealed ambitious plans to launch a new boutique river cruise ship, the VIVA Beyond, on the Seine River in May 2026. This new venture signifies a transformation in river cruising, blending the luxury of a boutique hotel with the varied experiences of a river cruise.
The VIVA Beyond will be the flagship of the cruise line’s innovative VIVA Boutique brand, marking a significant milestone in their growth strategy. According to VIVA Cruises CEO Andrea Kruse, this development is seen as a pivotal part of the company’s journey towards offering guests extraordinary experiences.
Before its debut, the vessel, part of the Scylla shipping company’s fleet, will undergo significant renovations to align with VIVA Cruises’ premium branding. These enhancements are designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and style, featuring a spacious sun deck and a dedicated treatment area, with capacity for 116 passengers.
Unprecedented in the company’s fleet, the VIVA Beyond will feature more suites than any of its predecessors, offering twelve suites, four junior suites, and ten master suites. The design of these accommodations reflects a commitment to luxury and exclusivity, ensuring each guest enjoys a unique and memorable journey.
The inaugural eight-day cruise will commence in Paris, tracing a picturesque route through Normandy to the Atlantic coast and returning to the capital. Onboard, travellers will have access to three restaurants, including MOMENTS, and can participate in three newly curated excursions focusing on culinary, cultural, and Impressionist themes.
In a strategic move to enhance its market presence, VIVA Cruises has partnered with UK-based Traveltek to improve its distribution network. This collaboration allows agents streamlined access to pricing, itineraries, and ship content for the cruise line’s fleet, thereby expanding its reach across seven rivers.
