Virgin Voyages has taken a bold step in expanding its presence by entering eight new European markets within a mere three-week period. This strategic move signifies a major advancement in the company’s ongoing growth trajectory.
Sales initiatives have begun in major European countries, including France and Italy, marking the completion of the second phase of their European growth strategy. Initially, six European markets, such as The Netherlands, Belgium, and Sweden, were targeted to kickstart this expansion effort.
This progressive expansion follows Virgin Voyages’ earlier ventures into Spain, Portugal, and Ireland, which resulted in a remarkable sales performance increase of nearly 50% within one year. Such metrics underscore the effectiveness of their expansion methodology.
Virgin Voyages’ footprint now extends to 11 new markets, with ambitions to expand into six additional markets by 2025. This aligns with the launch plan of their largest European deployment, as the Scarlet Lady and Resilient Lady will cover Mediterranean and Northern European routes.
Matt Lebbern, the head of European sales, has articulated the brand’s commitment to growing its international audience, emphasising the doubled number of active source markets. This reflects their innovative approach and readiness to integrate locally within varied markets.
