Virgin Voyages is set to conduct a series of agent-focused tours aboard its Resilient Lady ship in the UK, specifically in Portsmouth, this August and September. These tours are designed to provide travel agents with an in-depth understanding of the Virgin Voyages experience, enhancing their ability to sell the product to their clients.
The tours will be conducted over several days between August 23 and September 29, with each session lasting five hours. Groups of 30 to 50 agents will be hosted onboard by Virgin Voyages’ UK sales team, ensuring an immersive and informative experience.
To qualify for participation, agents must fulfil certain prerequisites, including achieving ‘Seacademy’ gold status, joining the online platform The Bridge UK, and becoming a member of the First Mate Loot scheme. This ensures that only highly engaged and knowledgeable agents attend, enhancing the quality of interaction during the visits.
The tours are strategically planned on turnaround days, illustrating the operational aspects of cruising with Virgin Voyages. Participants will have the opportunity to ‘sip, savour, and sea it all,’ which is expected to significantly enhance their promotional and sales capabilities through firsthand experience.
This initiative is part of Virgin Voyages’ broader plan announced earlier this year to host 1,000 agents aboard the Resilient Lady during its ex-UK season. Such initiatives underscore the company’s commitment to building robust relationships with travel agents and empowering them with the necessary tools to succeed.
Virgin Voyages’ agent tours on Resilient Lady further solidify its commitment to fostering knowledgeable and effective partnerships within the travel industry.
