In a strategic move to leverage the heightened enthusiasm surrounding the summer of sport, Newmarket Holidays has introduced an Olympics-themed incentive for travel agents called the ‘Going for Gold’ campaign. Launched in August, this initiative aims to engage agents with a series of weekly-themed challenges, each offering the chance to win substantial prizes.
The campaign’s structure is straightforward yet enticing. Agents participating in this programme can win a range of prizes through a prize draw. Rewards available span from high street shopping vouchers and team nights out to more grandiose offerings like a fam trip to the United States and Italy, and an exclusive African safari holiday for two.
To maintain interest and participation, Newmarket Holidays reveals a new theme each week on their Nic Newmarket Facebook page. This approach not only keeps agents engaged but also encourages them to interact with the brand on social media platforms. Each time an agent sells a qualifying holiday, they are automatically entered into the prize draw, incentivising consistent engagement and performance.
Adding another layer of excitement to the campaign, agents have the opportunity to discover one of 21 golden tickets hidden inside the latest edition of the Newmarket Holidays escorted tours brochure. These tickets offer additional chances to participate and win, motivating agents to engage with the promotional materials actively.
David Sharman, Newmarket’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasised the company’s commitment to rewarding agents, noting how the competition is designed to be both fun and rewarding. ‘With the summer of sport now in full swing, we wanted to celebrate with our own competition for trade partners,’ he stated, reinforcing the mutual benefits intended through this campaign.
This innovative campaign not only incentivises travel agents but also strengthens their relationship with Newmarket Holidays through competitive engagement.
