TiVo Corporation (NASDAQ: TIVO), a global provider of entertainment technology and audience insights, has announced that izzi Telecom, a cable operator in Mexico, has signed a license for interactive program guides (IPG) and entertainment metadata for their izzi Telecom video service, the company said.
The multi-year agreement supports a wider deployment of TiVo´s Passport Guide, and adds comprehensive video metadata for TV and video programs.
izzi Telecom will expand deployment of TiVo´s Passport Guide for set-top boxes to its operations in Mexico City and Monterrey, and add TiVo Video metadata, which together provide a high-quality and intuitive user experience. Specifically, izzi Telecom subscribers will benefit from a modern, HD program guide and enhanced features that make it easier for subscribers to find and watch TV content.
