Their selection followed a rigorous process involving business plan submissions and pitches, evaluated by industry experts in Manchester.
The scholarship provides an extensive benefits package that includes a six-month training programme, ten days of virtual classroom sessions, and continuous development opportunities. Additionally, recipients receive a personal mentor, a year’s membership with both the Institute of Travel & Tourism and Clia, plus access to Travel Counsellors’ digital platform, Phenix. This robust framework is supported by a vast network of experienced travel professionals.
Each scholar brings to the table a unique background. Penny Cartledge, with familial roots in the hospitality sector, aims to specialise in festival, cruise, and adventure travel.
