Tesco has expanded its premium food offerings with the launch of its first-ever ‘Finest Steakhouse’ range. This new selection will be prominently displayed in over 150 of its stores across England and Wales, marking a significant enhancement in their meat aisle. The initiative is designed to offer an elevated grocery shopping experience, particularly for those looking to enjoy high-quality steak meals at home.
The introduction of this range includes a variety of steak cuts and accompaniments. Notable among these are single steaks such as aged rump, sirloin, ribeye, and thick-cut fillet, as well as premium sharing options like T-bone, bone-on sirloin, Flat Iron, and Cote du Boeuf. Each steak is sourced from British Aberdeen Angus cattle, dry-aged for up to 35 days, and meticulously hand-trimmed by expert butchers, ensuring exceptional quality and taste.
In addition to the steaks, Tesco has unveiled an assortment of alternative mains to cater to diverse palates. These offerings include Wagyu burgers, duck breast supremes, slow-cooked Ossobuco, pork belly, and smoky beef ribs. Accompanying these are lavish sides such as triple cooked chips, rarebit dauphinoise potatoes, and truffle mac & cheese, all designed to complement the main dishes perfectly.
A distinct feature of the ‘Finest Steakhouse’ range is the premium packaging, which includes comprehensive information to assist customers in meal preparation. Each package provides wine pairing suggestions, chef’s tips, and detailed cooking instructions, including the innovative use of meat thermometer cooking guides. Such features are intended to replicate a gourmet steakhouse dining experience within the comforts of one’s home.
