The real estate team of a leading legal firm is celebrating a major step forward at the beginning of 2024, marked by several strategic appointments and promotions. Rowan Thomas joins as a senior associate solicitor, boasting 14 years of commercial property experience, particularly in development work. Alongside her, Lucy Storey is appointed as an associate solicitor, with Joshua Ackroyd joining as a paralegal, fortifying the team’s capability.
Conor Tobin and Victoria Adamson, who commenced their careers with the firm in 2021, have been inducted as newly qualified solicitors. The team has further strengthened its leadership through the promotion of Marcus Kaye to partner. Known for his pivotal role since joining in 2017, Kaye has been influential in guiding the team to handle complex cases involving high street lenders and mixed-use sites. Acknowledging his new role, Kaye stated, “It’s been a pleasure to have assisted in the expansion of our real estate specialism and witness the team’s involvement in some cutting-edge work across the energy, parks and development sectors. In parallel, Ben Finley has been elevated to the position of senior associate solicitor, contributing his expertise in managing a wide array of leasehold and freehold transactions. Over the past four years, the real estate department has successfully expanded to a 28-member team, facilitating deals cumulatively valued over £500 million and recording a turnover exceeding £2 million in 2023.
