Stephen Joyner has been promoted as Crystal Cruises centralises trade reservations operations.
- Joyner, joining this year from A-Rosa, is now the senior sales manager for UK & Ireland.
- Giorgio Costa, a recent addition, will oversee European markets, expanding commercial reach.
- Andrew Magowan’s departure after over a year made way for Joyner’s new role.
- Crystal’s strategic reorganisation aims at enhancing service through localised and Miami-based teams.
In a strategic move to bolster trade relations and operational efficiency, Crystal Cruises has promoted Stephen Joyner to the role of senior sales manager for the UK & Ireland. Having joined Crystal in January from A-Rosa, Joyner’s new role encompasses growing trade distribution and enhancing support for UK & Ireland partners.
The promotion of Joyner follows the exit of Andrew Magowan, who has concluded his tenure as vice president of sales for UK & EMEA. Magowan’s efforts in establishing the brand in these regions were significant, and his departure opened the way for Joyner’s elevation.
Supporting Joyner in this endeavour will be Giorgio Costa, who has been appointed as regional sales manager for Europe. Costa will oversee several key markets, including Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Turkey, aiming to extend Crystal’s commercial reach across these territories.
Additionally, Crystal Cruises has made operational adjustments by centralising its North American trade reservations team within its Miami headquarters while establishing localised reservation teams in London and Melbourne. This strategic decision is intended to ensure more consistent and personalised support, thus enhancing the operational framework.
Mary-Beth Meadowcroft, SVP of global sales and reservations, highlighted that centralising operations would ensure a higher level of service and foster stronger relationships with trade partners. This move underscores Crystal’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences to its clientele, reinforcing its reputation within the luxury cruise market.
Crystal Cruises’ organisational changes and leadership promotions are expected to solidify its market presence and enhance customer relations.
