- The company plans to increase its portfolio by 15% and continues to broaden its team.
SPL Villas is set to strengthen its foothold in the industry through strategic partnerships with Hays Travel and the homeworking division of the Travel Network Group, Independent Travel Experts. These new collaborations will enhance access to SPL Villas’ extensive portfolio, which includes over 1,500 properties across 100 destinations. This initiative opens the doors for nearly 700 Hays shops and 500 homeworkers, alongside almost 100 homeworkers from Travel Network Group, to access these properties.
The expansion of SPL Villas’ distribution network aligns with its existing partnerships with established names in the travel sector such as Travel Counsellors, Advantage, Barrhead Travel, and PTS. The villa specialist’s attainment of Atol certification in late 2023 further assures travel agents and customers of its reliability and commitment to safety and quality.
Welcoming industry veteran Mike Lee as the new trade and business support manager for Southern England underscores SPL Villas’ commitment to trade growth. With two decades of experience, Lee joins Anne Clays and Sarah Gill in driving the company’s expansion efforts. Simultaneously, the appointment of Katie Strange as product manager marks a significant step toward enriching the company’s offerings, tapping into her seven years of expertise in the villa sector.
According to managing director Edward Frampton-Fell, a significant portion of SPL Villas’ bookings—about a third—was attributed to agents in the previous year. The company aims to increase this figure in 2024, banking on the appeal of their properties in terms of value, quality, and variety. The backing provided by their Atol and Abtot membership further enhances their market proposition, reassuring agents of the brand’s credibility.
The company’s growth strategy includes not only strengthening its trade team but also expanding its portfolio by approximately 15% within the coming months. This ambitious plan is designed to cater to the increasing demand for premium and luxury villas, ultimately broadening the company’s appeal to both agents and direct customers alike.
SPL Villas is poised for significant growth with strategic partnerships and an expansion of its team and offerings, thereby enhancing its market presence.
