Seabourn has launched an ambitious new initiative named the Seabourn Enhanced Groups Programme, designed with the sole purpose of boosting business opportunities for travel advisors while streamlining the complexities of the group booking process. This forward-thinking scheme offers travel advisors enticing options such as shipboard credit or bonus commission for bookings, significantly easing the need for deposits for smaller group allocations, and adeptly increasing group capacities.
The programme has been meticulously structured to come into effect for all group bookings related to sailings from autumn 2025 onwards. This strategic timing allows travel advisors to book nine full fare passengers and grant the tenth passenger a reduced fare. Furthermore, an extended list of select cruises under this programme enables group bookings of seven full fare passengers, with the eighth enjoying a reduced fare. This method of simplified tour conductor credit allows the averaging of the reduced fare across all group fares, ensuring equitable benefit distribution among the group.
Offering enhanced flexibility, Seabourn’s programme provides agents with the option to choose between shipboard credit or a bonus commission of up to 5% per suite. Notably, shipboard credit amounts reach up to £390 per suite, affording agents the latitude to provide choice to customers or enhancing their earning potential. For bookings up to ten suites, no deposit is necessary, whereas for groups exceeding ten suites, a refundable deposit becomes requisite, maintaining a balance of flexibility and financial assurance.
The company’s vice-president of sales and trade relations, Steve Smotrys, commented on the programme, highlighting Seabourn’s enduring history of delivering exceptional groups, incentives, and charter experiences. He emphasised the company’s ongoing dedication to refining and enriching the group booking process, ensuring travel advisors can continue to provide exceptional service to clients. With these enhancements, Seabourn anticipates warmly welcoming groups aboard, whether marking personal milestones or organising corporate gatherings, all while upholding its hallmark of unparalleled ultra-luxury service.
Seabourn’s programme heralds a new era of enhanced and flexible group bookings for travel advisors.
