In a bid to provide firsthand experience and insights, Royal Caribbean International has announced the second annual Seminar at Sea, inviting 400 agents who are either new to cruising or new to the brand. This event promises an immersive experience aboard the iconic Oasis of the Seas, with a scheduled trip from Barcelona to Italy from May 5th to 9th.
Participants will hail from various parts of Europe and the Middle East. They will engage in a series of training sessions designed to cater to a diverse audience, offering guidance in six languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, and English. This approach ensures that language is not a barrier to gaining essential skills and knowledge.
The seminar’s interactive nature is particularly noteworthy, featuring activities such as role-playing and quizzes that aim to provide depth to the learning experience. Such methods are intended to equip agents with practical tools and resources, thereby enhancing their capability to assist clients more effectively.
According to EMEA vice president Ben Bouldin, the seminar is part of an ongoing effort to welcome new faces in the travel industry, thus reinforcing the commitment to education and skill development. He highlighted the invaluable advantage of gaining firsthand insights into the value of a holiday that encompasses something for everyone.
Additionally, the cruise line announced future training sessions, digital drop-in meetings, and competitions accessible throughout the year via its rewards and learning platform. This suite of resources offers continuing development opportunities beyond the main event.
The Seminar at Sea represents Royal Caribbean’s continued commitment to empowering agents to deliver exceptional travel experiences.
