RMT Accountants and Business Advisors has significantly bolstered its capabilities with the acquisition of KSA Group, marking an undisclosed transaction that signifies strategic growth in the restructuring niche. The acquisition is RMT’s third since aligning with the Sumer Group, a network dedicated to mid-market accountancy services targeting small and medium-sized enterprises.
The existing 15-person team at KSA Group, which features four directors alongside two licensed insolvency practitioners, will continue in their roles. This retention ensures that expertise and service continuity are maintained, enriching RMT’s recovery and restructuring prowess under the directorship of Chris Ferguson.
Chris Ferguson expressed that much of the vital work done by insolvency experts remains largely unrecognised. He emphasised that the strategic advice and proactive support provided by these professionals help to avert formal insolvency procedures, thereby safeguarding numerous companies and jobs annually across the UK. RMT anticipates that the skilful integration of KSA will enable enhanced delivery in its recovery and restructuring operations.
The offices of KSA, located in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Gateshead, Edinburgh, and London, will continue to operate, forming a united front with RMT to leverage regional and national strengths. This acquisition augments RMT’s resources, aligning with their growth strategy to broaden business rescue and restructuring services.
Keith Steven, KSA Group’s founder, highlighted the acquisition as a step into a new chapter, promising stability for their expert team and introducing expanded opportunities. The collaboration aims to provide comprehensive support, working directly with business owners and directors to illuminate recovery paths and facilitate smooth transitions.
With the acquisition of KSA Group, RMT Accountants is poised to advance its service offerings, strengthening its position in the industry.
