Riviera Travel marks its 40th anniversary with a noteworthy initiative aimed at strengthening ties with its trade partners. By organising a series of regional trade dinners across the UK and Ireland, the company intends to foster deeper connections with agents, a strategy indicating a forward-thinking approach to partnership building. Each event will be highly exclusive, with only nine agents invited, ensuring an intimate setting conducive to meaningful dialogue and networking.
The series of dinners commences in Birmingham on 16 July, with subsequent events planned for major locations including London, the south west, south east, north west, north east, Scotland, and Ireland throughout the summer. These regional gatherings will offer agents the opportunity to engage directly with Riviera’s key account managers, receive updates on the latest company developments, and discuss collaborative strategies moving forward.
Key account managers, who are at the forefront of Riviera’s outreach efforts, will host each dinner, facilitating discussions on the brand’s current initiatives and its ongoing collaboration with trade partners. These efforts are set to enhance the relationship between Riviera and its agents, a move likely to yield long-term benefits for both parties.
Vicky Billing, head of trade and partnerships at Riviera, expressed her appreciation for the agents’ unwavering support, emphasising the significant role they have played in the company’s success. She stated, “These events are just one of the ways we are showing our gratitude to our agent partners, whose support has been nothing short of phenomenal.”
Adding a strategic dimension to Riviera’s growth is the recent appointment of Steven Taylor, the former head of retail at Saga, as the new international sales manager. Taylor is tasked with overseeing the company’s sales and product strategies in various markets, including Ireland, Australia, and the US, to meet passenger, revenue, and profit targets. His role will be crucial in identifying new markets for Riviera to explore, underscoring the brand’s commitment to expanding its global footprint.
Riviera Travel’s regional trade dinners and strategic appointments highlight its dedication to strengthening agent relationships and expanding its market presence.
